Not to mention that at only three ingredients, you probably already have all the ingredients to make this yummy tea- all you need is honey sticks, ginger, and lemon!

Honey, ginger, and lemon are well known for being powerful ingredients for good health. Here’s a short breakdown of how each can help support your body and diet. 

 

  • Honey- Honey is a mighty natural sweetener that contains many beneficial properties. For example, honey is linked to improved heart health. This is because honey can help improve your cholesterol and lower your blood pressure. Honey may also help aid in weight management by effectively curbing your sweet tooth and decreasing hunger levels. So the next time you feel like something sweet, try using honey sticks for tea to make yourself this lightly sweet yet so delicious tea! 

 

  • Ginger- Ginger is a very medicinal ingredient. Like honey, ginger is also good for heart health, but it can also help with indigestion, joint health, nausea, and boost your immune system. Detox tea recipe 

 

On top of being so healthy to drink, this tea is incredibly easy to make! Of course, the first step is to gather all your necessary ingredients: 

  • 1 Tablespoon of honey or honey sticks 
  • 1 inch piece of ginger 
  • 2 Whole lemons
  • 2 cups of water 

 

Begin by boiling your water. While you’re waiting for the water to heat up, cut 1 lemon into halves and squeeze the juice out into a separate container. With the second lemon, cut it into several even slices. Next, using a peeler or a knife, carefully peel your ginger and grate it finely. Once the water has begun boiling, you can add in all your honey, lemon juice and slices, and ginger. If desired, you can use flavored honey sticks for an extra boost of flavor. Let the ingredients steep into the water for 5 minutes, at which point you can turn the flame off. You can choose to either drink it as it is or top it with more lemon slices. And that’s all! Your tea is now ready to be served and enjoyed.
